The past few weeks...

Sorry it has been so long since my last blog...it has been a busy few weeks for me! There were the holidays, finals and a WONDERFUL vacation that took all my attention! So the end of 2008 was lost as far as my blog goes...so here comes the update!

First there was Thanksgiving which is also know as "All Family - All the Time!". We spend the entire weekend all together doing everything from meals, movies, sports, bowling and oh yes...there is wine! This year we even extended the weekend by a day so we could all go to a Raiders game together! It is always a great weekend together and is really the only time the whole family is together so we really love the time.

Then the first few weeks of December are a blurr of holiday parties, concerts (both as a audience member and a performer), school papers, cousin lunches, shopping, finals and one great bus trip to SF that I remember almost all of! It was a great few weeks with family and friends and as always reminds me how blessed I am to have all the amazing people I do in my life! There was a lot of planning and hard work but it all paid of - the school part even landed me straight A's this semester!

Then on December 17th my Dad, Mom and I took off! We decided to spend the couple weeks I had off from school on a family vacation. So we packed our bags and headed to Belize for some quality family time in the sun! My parents have been going to Belize for a couple years on a fishing trip/beach time with another couple but this was my first time there and I am officially in love! It was beautiful there (once I get my act together I will post some pictures) and it was unlike any place I have been before. We had an amazing time together and got a tan in the process. I got to see a bunch of places I have been hearing about for years, I went snorkeling with my Mom, Nemo fish an sharks. There was a Ray that was stalking me in the water and that is not me just being me - my mom can validate the story! I sat on a beach and read a book or two a day for almost two weeks - it was wonderful!!! There was one book in particular that I will blog about later that I am officially in love with! Thanks for the book Kendra! Thanks again Dad and Mom for my Christmas vacation/present in Belize!

We got back on the 30th and I got to meet up with Kendra, Brandon and Peyton at our hotel in San Jose and catch up and hand out gifts! As always, quality time with the Kertson's is one of my favorite things!

We were so sleepy from our trip that no one in my family was awake when the ball dropped on New Years Eve but it was a small price to pay for a great trip.

So I have a few more days of vacation before I start my next semester, which I am NOT looking forward too. There are 5 units of math alone...it is not going to be fun!!

So as 2009 starts and I look back on the past few weeks I am blessed and very excited to see what this next year holds!
